Jay practiced in the Corporate and Securities group of a BigLaw firm for five years before moving in-house to a global media and entertainment company, and subsequently a growth-stage tech company. His corporate experience includes M&A, capital markets transactions, corporate governance, PubCo board and committee management, ESG, domestic and international subsidiary management, and Exchange Act filings.

Since his first year in BigLaw, Jay treated his annual self-evaluation and performance review as if it were an executive comp negotiation. He believes that strategic self-advocacy during the self-evaluation and annual review processes is a critical skill for life beyond BigLaw.
